The Valuing People Support Team have supported Paradigm in the development of a range of handy guides to support people in all aspects of designing and creating good support. Individual Service Design is one of the tools that we have used for many years.
Individual Service Design is a process that helps people and those around them to explore who the person is, what’s important in their life and thus design a good support system around them based upon their chosen lifestyle. The information gathered in the process can include housing information, person centred recruitment and ultimately enables people to cost their chosen support system.
The Individual Service Design Guide is a free download and also available to buy as a hard copy for £6.00 plus P&P. When we were testing out the guide we found that people can struggle to cost support services, so to make this easier we have now produced an accompanying CD in the hard copy which includes a range of financial excel spread sheets that can support you to develop costs.
