Person Centred Planning
For 10 years, Person Centred Planning has been at the forefront of many policy initiatives, training plans and the focus of much effort by lots of services. To date, it has not always fulfilled its promise, with many plans gathering dust on shelves or not being implemented. iplanit is the missing link to put the action back into planning.
- Person Centred Planning has the promise of lots of real positive change for people
- For some people it achieves this, but for many others it doesn’t
- One thing is clear, it could do this for everyone
- Valuing People Now and Putting People First continue to push Person Centred Planning as the vehicle for achieving real change for people
As things stand now, for organisations
- Plans often look great on paper, but many times, the dreams, aspirations and actions are not achieved
- Plans can become very static as they are recorded on paper and often filed away until the review
- Teams often do not have the means to really collaborate and stay on track in relation to plan implementation
- Plans produce very useful information which could help improve performance management, service planning and external reporting, but this rarely happens
Our aims
- To provide an easy to use multi-media capability to support Person Centred Planning
- To improve team collaboration and performance
- To provide the technology which ensures that actions are honoured and happen
- To enable organisations to use the information in plans to easily report on progress to external stakeholders and inform internal performance management
